2nd GDE Fun Games Memoir Edit Date：2015/12/30

       In the afternoon on 25th Dec, the 2nd GDE Fun Games were held in sports ground of Science Park. All staff joined the competitions in 8 teams.
       At 1.00 pm, the sun was warmly shining on the earth in winter. 8 teams walked into the ground with energetic steps in order and lined up to be ready for the incoming games.
       After the simple starting speech by company leader the games formally started. Games “Shoulder to Shoulder”, “Love between Hands & Feet” and “3 men 4 feet” began. Players were sent from each team for chasing the winner. Speed & teamwork were essential for the games and cheering and yelling were full of the place.
       The next game, called “Get cross river with stone”, was testing the flexibility of players’ body and it lasted long. Players showed various skills to speed up. It looked like a game of stamina but the intelligence might be more important.
       Here came the tug of war, the most exciting game, which relied on the power and probably the weight. The winner would be determined in the best of three and opponents were determined by drawing lots. The simple and direct way emphasized the original charm of the game and the neck and neck procedure highlighted the excitement after full effort. When the game finished, players’ arm were exhausted and most of players shouted themselves hoarse. Obviously the game was significantly intense.
       The last game was “Football Bowling”. There was no limitation of player number for each team and the result took the best record from 3 male and 3 female players. Therefore whether he was good at playing football or not, eventually he got involved the game. Those who were good football players showed their skills; the other ones could just swing their legs for more amusement.
       After all games finished, the referees and recorders awarded the single game prize or team prize according to the scoreboard.
       Company staff demonstrated their positive spirits and nice teamwork during these interesting and enjoyable games. This activity strengthened their friendship and their loyalty to company.
