1 Platinum + 4 Gold | GDE’s Red Bull Guangxi Production Base Project Receives Multiple LEED Certifications Edit Date：2026/05/14

Recently, the Red Bull Beverage Guangxi ASEAN Economic Zone Production Base Project undertaken by GDE has been awarded multiple LEED certifications. Among them, the office building received LEED Platinum certification, while the four other building units – the production workshop & automated warehouse, and Dormitories 1#, 2#, and 3# – each achieved LEED Gold certification.

GDE is responsible for the overall engineering design of the project, which mainly includes a high speed fully automated production workshop, a finished goods automated warehouse, office and dormitory buildings, a wastewater treatment station, and other utility and supporting facilities. The project adheres to the core concepts of green and low carbon operation, systematic energy conservation, healthy comfort, and smart O&M. It is empowered through five key dimensions – clean energy, high efficiency electromechanical systems, intelligent lighting environment, ecological water conservation, and digital management – to create an industrial park that integrates modern production, efficient operations, and green living, with the goal of achieving high standard green building targets.

In terms of design, the project makes full use of the roof space of the production workshop and automated warehouse to deploy distributed photovoltaic power generation on a large scale, enabling a “self generation for self use, with surplus fed to the grid” operating model. At the same time, the HVAC and fresh air systems are meticulously designed to balance energy efficiency with indoor health, and the lighting system is comprehensively optimised for deep energy savings. The landscape area is equipped with intelligent drip irrigation and rain sensor systems, while water efficient fixtures are used indoors, establishing a full scope water saving system. In addition, a smart energy management platform is being built to enable monitoring, analysis, and optimisation of energy consumption.

LEED green building certification is an internationally recognised rating system for green buildings, applied in more than 180 countries and regions worldwide. It serves as an important tool for promoting sustainable development in the building sector and helping achieve the “dual carbon” goals. The multiple LEED certifications obtained for this project are a strong recognition of GDE’s capabilities in green building design, low carbon engineering implementation, and intelligent construction.
