 April 22, 2026 marks the 57th World Earth Day.

 On the journey of protecting our blue planet and creating a low carbon future,

 GDE has always been fulfilling its mission without pause.

 In sectors such as food & beverage, daily chemicals, and industrial parks,

 GDE has delivered numerous LEED certified projects,

 among which 2 have achieved Platinum certification and 7 have achieved Gold certification.

 With this solid track record, GDE stands as a pioneer in green development within the industry,

 and as a state owned enterprise, it shoulders the responsibility of being a guardian of our beautiful planet.

 01Guangdong Esquel Textile Co., Ltd. Garment Accessories and Packaging Plant Haitian Road Construction Project

The project is built around green and low carbon principles, integrating photovoltaic technology with building layout and industrial production. It innovatively adopts a “sponge factory” model for the rainwater system, enabling water recycling. Through building energy efficiency optimisation, high efficiency intelligent electromechanical equipment, and zoned intelligent lighting control, the project significantly improves energy utilisation. This project is the first LEED Platinum certified project in China’s textile sector, setting a benchmark for green and low carbon construction in the industry.

 02 Guangdong Shenling Environmental Systems Co., Ltd. Professional Special Environment Systems R&D and Manufacturing Base Project

The project integrates two core technologies – green and low carbon and intelligent manufacturing. It employs passive building design, photovoltaic power generation, high efficiency chiller plants with thermal storage and chilled water storage, and waste heat recovery to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, achieving efficient energy use and cost savings. Meanwhile, with digital systems such as PLM, SRM, and MES, together with a 5G private network, it creates an automated and intelligent production environment, enabling efficient collaboration in R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain, as well as visualised production processes. The project has received global LEED Platinum certification, dual “Zero Energy Building” design and operation certifications, and the 2025 First Prize Award for Outstanding Industrial Engineering Design in the Light Industry Sector.

 03Chongqing PepsiCo Tianfu Beverage Co., Ltd. New Plant Project

From the very beginning of its design, the plant embraced a “green design” philosophy, taking into account wind energy, temperature and humidity, landscaping, natural lighting, occupant comfort, and employee welfare. Energy saving architectural measures were adopted to reduce heat island effects and light pollution. This facility is the first “green” beverage plant established by PepsiCo in China and received global LEED Gold certification upon completion.

 04Jujiao New Materials Co., Ltd. Hygiene Products Polymer New Materials Manufacturing and R&D Headquarters Project

The project uses dedicated mould temperature control heating systems for each reactor, achieving precise temperature management. This significantly reduces heat loss and defect rates while improving electrical energy efficiency and product quality. In the process design, low melting point raw materials are used to cool high temperature materials, replacing traditional refrigerants. This shortens the production cycle and enables efficient recycling of thermal energy, making the process mild and environmentally friendly, thus balancing green manufacturing with high quality development. Upon completion, the project received global LEED Gold certification.

 05 Getrag (Jiangxi) Transmission Systems Co., Ltd. New Technology Building Project

The project was designed in strict compliance with China’s Green Building Evaluation Standard (three star level) and the US LEED Gold criteria. The overall layout is compact and rational, and the architectural design is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing with a forward looking sense of modernity. Upon completion, the project obtained three star Green Building certification and global LEED Gold certification.

 06Kunming Pepsi Cola Beverage Co., Ltd. New Plant Project

From site selection and building construction to daily operations, the project systematically integrates green concepts such as energy saving, water conservation, and resource recycling. The workshop maximises natural lighting and ventilation, optimises energy usage, incorporates efficient water recovery and reuse designs, and uses environmentally friendly materials and technologies. It received global LEED Gold certification upon completion.

 07 Pepsi Beverages (Nanchang) Co., Ltd. New Plant Project

The project strictly implements pollution prevention during construction, construction waste management, recycling of renewable resources, local procurement of materials, and green control of manufacturing processes. It also optimises spatial comfort and upgrades production processes for energy efficiency. Through its green construction and low carbon operation standards, it successfully obtained global LEED Gold certification and also passed the US FM certification.

 08PepsiCo Foods (China) Co., Ltd. Wuhan Food Production Base

The project features automated potato chip production lines that enable high speed intelligent operations from raw material feeding to finished product packaging. Leveraging a “24 hour fresh potato processing” supply chain technology, it achieves rapid freshness preservation from field harvest to market launch, setting a new benchmark for potato chip factories. Upon completion, it received global LEED Gold certification.

 09Vitasoy Food and Beverage Production Center in Changping

This project is the largest scale and highest investment operating centre for the Vitasoy International Group, marking a milestone in the company’s development history. It realises a world class manufacturing facility with high automation, intelligence, and intensification from raw materials to finished product dispatch. Upon completion, it received global LEED Gold certification and, in 2023, obtained ”National Green Factory” certification.

LEED green building certification is an internationally recognised rating system for green buildings. It evaluates buildings comprehensively across multiple aspects, including sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, and innovative design. Based on the score achieved, it awards four levels: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. LEED certification has been applied in more than 180 countries and regions worldwide and serves as an important tool for promoting sustainable development in the building sector and helping achieve the “dual carbon” goals.
